“The Webb Johnson medal is commemoration of Sir Alfred Webb Johnson, President of the Royal College of Surgeon of England between 1941 and 1948, is presented triennially. This award is directed towards the advancement of basic scientific knowledge relevant to present and future oral health care. Recipients will have made a sustained contributions to basic science relevant to present and future oral health. There is a presentation of a Faculty medal – the College medal inscribed with the name of the recipient and the FDS. A Triennial lecture, for which the lecturer is appointed by the Board of Faculty of Dental Surgery under powers delegated by the Council under the 1977 Charter’
